Gather as many segments as possible, which will stack on your character's back as you collect them
Navigate to stairwell gaps and approach them to automatically begin placing your collected segments
Continue the collection-placement cycle until you've completed your staircase to the next level
Be aware that opponents can place their differently colored segments on top of yours, creating multi-colored staircases
Similarly, you can place your segments on top of your opponents' stairs to advance your position
Race to complete the entire building's staircase before your competitors to win the level
If an opponent reaches the top floor before you, you'll need to restart the current level
